From Missouri Southern State to one of John Elway's favorite targets, Rod Smith had quite the path to the NFL. Following a stellar college career, Smith was not drafted in 1994, but was signed by the Broncos as a free agent. He'd finally make his way onto the field following a string of injuries during the 1995 season and his first catch was a 43-yard touchdown from Elway, where he beat legendary corner Champ Bailey. Smith quickly became a mainstay of the Denver offense and went on to play a part in the team's Super Bowl runs in 1997 and 1998. Smith played his entire career with the Broncos from 1995-2007. He caught 849 passes for 11,339 yards and 68 touchdowns, including eight seasons of over 1,000 receiving yards.

Whenever Robert Horry's teams needed him, he delivered. Horry may not have always been the biggest name on teams he's played for, but if the game was on the line you wanted the basketball in his hands. In 1995, "Big Shot Bob" knocked down a game-winning shot for the Houston Rockets in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals and his legend was just beginning. After living up to his clutch reputation with the Lakers from 1996-2003, Horry came up big again with the Spurs in 2003, this time it was a game-winning three-pointer with under six seconds left in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Horry's career came to a close with seven NBA Championships (two with the Rockets, three with the Lakers and two with the Spurs), which is more than Michael Jordan's six.
